Super-cute Kumi Takiuchi is well-known in Japan for her numerous television and cinema roles. One of her first screen appearances was in 2013 in the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Talks—yes, even Japan has a version of CSI, and yes, lots of young actresses pop their TV cherry on it. That same year, she nabbed the lead character of Nami in the big-screen movie Greatful Dead, a quirky little flick that earned her some notice. She was cast in Beauty and the Boy (2015), a TV mini-series in category alone, since it lasted for 20 episodes, 19 of which our Kumi was a part of. She followed it up with a mini-series that was more mini, with a title too long and difficult to translate, as well as a few more movie roles, including Twisted Justice (2016), Midnight Run (2016), and The Blue Hearts (2017). And then, Kumi bares it all in the film Side Job (2017). Based on the novel Her Life is Not at Fault written by the film’s director, the film tells the story of survivors trying to find the silver lining in their lives. Miyuki (played by Kumi) lost her mother to the earthquake and tsunami that followed in the wake of the Fukushima disaster; she works at city hall, but supplements her income through prostitution in Tokyo. We get an upskirt panty view via a blow job, a watery breast view via a bathtub, and a clear view of her treasure chest via a ride on a dude. A hard act to follow, yet Kumi managed it, with roles in flicks like the awesomely named It’s Boring Here, Pick Me Up (2018); Hiromi in the short film The Interpreter(2019), for which she won a Best Actress nomination from the San Diego Film Awards; as Naoko in It Feels So Good (2019), with another nom for a Best Actress award from the Faro Island Film Festival; A Balance (2020); and Ura Aka: L’Aventure (2021), the story of how Machiko (played by Kumi) feels empty and decides to post photos of her chest on a secret social media account.
